Your data is encrypted
Every message travels over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt before storage. No one at SoulDot can read your raw password.
Never sold or shared
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. Your conversations are not used to market anything to you, ever.
Never trained on
Your sessions do not train our AI. What you share is used to respond to you in that moment. Nothing else.
What we actually collect
When you create an account: your name, email, and a hashed password. When you chat: the messages you send, stored so your counselor remembers context across sessions. When you pay: billing is handled by Stripe. We never see your card number.
That's it. No location tracking. No microphone access. No behavioural profiling. No third-party ad pixels.
How your conversations are stored
Your messages live in our database, locked to your account. No other user can access them. When a session ends, we compress the key themes into a short summary. This helps your counselor pick up where you left off without re-reading every message. That summary stays with your account and goes nowhere else.
AI Counselors are instructed never to reference one user's information with another. Your story is yours.
Who can see your data
Our team has access to account-level information for support and billing purposes. Access to conversation content is restricted to what's technically necessary to operate the service. We don't read your conversations as a matter of practice, and we've built access controls to limit who can.
The AI systems that power your sessions receive your messages to generate responses. These providers are bound by confidentiality agreements and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Your rights
Under applicable US privacy laws (including CCPA for California residents), you can:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correct anything that's inaccurate (most fields are editable in Settings)
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Withdraw consent at any time

US Privacy compliance
SoulDot complies with applicable US federal and state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for California residents. We only collect data you provide, use it for the purposes stated, and keep it only as long as your account is active (plus two years after closure for legal purposes).
If you have an unresolved complaint about how we handle your data, you can contact the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at ftc.gov or your state's Attorney General office.
Privacy isn't a legal checkbox for us. You're trusting us with things that matter. That trust is the whole point.
